On April 2, 2022 Lauren and Ivan said their vows at the historic Carpentersville location — The Brix on the Fox. From their website, they mention the amazing story behind this unique building,

The expansive building was constructed in the 1880s for the Illinois Condensing Company later renamed the Borden Condensed Milk Company. The event space of The BRIX was originally a living area for cows. The building was converted to other uses around 1920 and has had several owners since then.

I love how the space felt modern, yet historic; rustic, yet soft. The newlyweds were married with a simple backdrop and romantic chandelier. And the reception seating was so beautifully set. The couple chose to use long tables that showcase the gorgeous wood finish. The different textures of the wood and brick was so lovely.
