Trend: 2022 Bridesmaid Dress
The AMAZING trends happening this year deserve their own blog post, so to continue the trend series — I present the 2022 trends for bridesmaid dresses!
I know the year 2022 has barely begun, but brides have already been picking bridesmaid dresses for their wedding parties and there is definitely an array of choices.
Colors like mustard yellow and olive green are not limited to fall weddings (second row, first picture). Brides have been choosing these colors for bridesmaids throughout the year. Yellow in general is a popular color - the spectrum of shades makes it so versatile!
Calling all the BOLD brides! Patterns are becoming so popular - stripes, florals, you name it. Brides have been mix and matching patterns, colors, cut, length, and more when it comes to their wedding party. If you have bridesmaids that are as individual as you, then this might be a fun option. If you don’t want a hodgepodge standing beside you, you can add parameters such as: yellow floral, neutral, long sleeved and cool toned, etc.
Classic options are still a popular choice, such as black, white, and cream. Satin is especially a beautiful choice for brides who choose to pick a solid color (there is a picture below that showcases black bridesmaid dresses).
Did I say dress? Well, pant suits are also making their entrance! The satin cream pant suits pictured below are a beautiful example of how this trend works!
Jewel tones are such a beautiful combination if you choose to let your brides pick their dress color. The rich and warm tones are so lovely.
Bridgerton gave a resurgence to the regency era and of course, the style depicted is becoming a popular choice for bridesmaid dresses. The regency blue color (take a look below) is so calm and bright - perfect for the spring!
Cottage core has become very popular in the late 2010s and early 2020s, and it is still a popular choice. It works in a country style wedding, but can also be appropriate for rural and city weddings alike.
Is anything more delicate than lace? Whether partly lace or fully lace, it is a beautiful choice!
Last but not least, rose gold tones round out the 2022 bridesmaid dress trends. Any color within the spectrum of rose gold is a wonderful choice, but there is something about mixing them together. Check out the first picture in the first row for a glamourous shot of how it just works!
